**The opportunity **
Following a number of changes within our Supply Chain department we are now looking for an additional Inventory Planner.
As a Company dealing with predominantly Far Eastern and long lead time vendors you will ensure in your area of responsibility that optimal stock levels are adhered to, forecast accuracy is also in line with financial targets and industry leading service levels achieved.
As an Inventory Planner you will be responsible for the supply chain stock integrity of a set range of suppliers, ensuring optimised exit plans for aged and discontinued stock in collaboration with the Commercial team and Category Managers.
As an Inventory Planner you will develop the supplier compliance program and help to improve the vendor relationships.
You will also as Inventory Planner develop company forecasts and forecast versus actual analysis, identifying shortfalls against budget using vendor and category forecast analysis.
You will also provide high service levels within set targets and KPI’s to a given time frame.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who has a proven background in supply chain / inventory management / purchasing role. Experience of working within an MRP environment would be an advantage. You need to be numerate and articulate and able to communicate effectively across all areas of the business. You must be comfortable with multi-tasking and able to successfully prioritise conflicting demands on a daily basis. You will need to be able to demonstrate out of the box thinking and look for new ways of purchasing that could have potential cost reductions in the supply chain. Most importantly you will need to remain pragmatic and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
