VictoriaPlum.com - Our 2015 in review

Posted by Adam Chard in Latest News | 8 years ago 3 min read

With the year finally coming to an end, it's time have a quick look back at just some of the huge changes that have been taking place here at VictoriaPlum.com.

Raising money for charity

In January we started working with our official charity partner WellChild, supporting them on a range of fundraising activities. Throughout the year, many of our colleagues took part in charity events which included climbing the 3 highest peaks in Great Britain (Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike), running the London Marathon, and helping a local family transform their home.

State-of-the-art distribution centre

In June, our new state-of-the-art 277,000 sq feet distribution centre opened in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, creating local jobs and giving us a warehouse facility to be proud of. This hub now brings our very own delivery fleet closer to the UK motorway network and gives us the ability to pick, pack and dispatch your order quicker than ever.

In fact, this facility is so large, you could fit 400,000 Arte Freestanding Baths into it, and still have room to spare!

A bold new identity

Monday 7th July was arguably the biggest day in the history of VictoriaPlum.com. We launched our new brand identity to emphasise both our exclusive online operation and our expansion into other areas of the home. We even gained a new strapline: VictoriaPlum.com. Your home.

To coincide with this, we also launched a fantastic new website, designed to give our customers faster and more intuitive browsing. Shaped by the fabulous feedback we receive from our customers, our site is evolving all the time to give you the very best online shopping experience.

As part of our launch celebrations, we unleashed this spectacular fountain full of our bathroom products on the unsuspecting people of Hitchin in Hertfordshire:

Bedtime finally arrives

Not long after our relaunch, we set about expanding our product range. Using our 15 plus years expertise in bathrooms, we moved across the landing, turning our attention to the bedroom. With 5 stylish bedroom furniture ranges, a range of bedframes and upholstered divans, plus a wide stock of mattresses, an increasing number of customers are turning to us, finding stylish solutions for the whole upstairs of their home.

More tiles, greater choice

We revamped and expanded our tile range, to include a wider choice than ever before. From on-trend metro tiles to stone effects and mosaics, now you really can buy everything you need for your bathroom all in one place, and at a great price.

Looking forward to 2016

What does 2016 hold in store for us? Well, one thing's for certain. We'll be bringing you an even greater choice of quality products for your home, with fantastic designs at great prices. And, as one of the UK’s fastest growing online home retailers, it’s bound to be another exciting year!
