I recently took a trip to the Ideal Home Show 2015 at Olympia, London to catch up on all the latest trends in bathroom design.
VictoriaPlum.com provided 5 bathroom sets for the show, but the one that really stood out was the Sand and Stone Bathroom designed by top interior stylist Sophie Robinson.
Inspired by nature
The overall design scheme for this bathroom was inspired by the Earth's natural palette and Sophie had selected our rustic-looking Verdi Wood-Effect Tiles to give the floor a warm look and feel.
Verdi Wood Effect Floor Tiles add rustic charm to the overall look and feel.
To complement the natural tones, Sophie created a mountainscape design on the main wall with 3 bands of soft, muted colours adding a point of interest. Our Aries Round LED Mirror provided the finishing touch, giving an extra sense of light and space. Plus, with a battery operated model available, there's no need for tricky, and potentially costly, mains installations.

Clean and contemporary
In contrast to these naturally-inspired materials, Sophie went for a clean, crisp and contemporary bathroom suite. Employing the very latest in luxurious design, the V6 Designer Shower System was an inspired choice. With fully integrated overhead shower, handset and toughened safety glass, it represents a highly modern style.

With such a beautiful bathroom, there simply had to be a suitably opulent tub in which to relax. Sophie certainly didn't disappoint, opting for the gorgeous Positano Freestanding Bath. With beautiful curves and a back to wall style it manages to evoke some of the more natural shapes found all around us, whilst providing a wonderfully luxurious style.

To make the very most of the wood-effect floor tiles, Sophie added a wall hung basin, in the form of our Princeton Basin and Semi Pedestal, and matched this with the Princeton Close Coupled Toilet. A wall mounted toilet and basin suite can really help to give an uninterrupted view of any feature floor and worked perfectly in this instance.

Styling up with accessories
With an eye for the finer details, Sophie chose natural-inspired objects such as sea sponges and plants, along with marble and stone accessories, to really set the theme off beautifully.
We love the repurposed shopping basket for storing towels, and the rough, sand-coloured bathmat also fits in perfectly with the overall theme.
Contemporary chrome also features in the form of our Signelle Heated Towel Rail, providing the ideal place to keep towels nice and toasty.
Wonderfully contemporary, yet highly practical - the Signelle Heated Towel Rail.
A natural style bathroom will be used all year round, so keeping your bathroom warm is a key consideration.
