Help to shape the next generation of planet-conscious thinkers by getting your local schools involved with JUST ONE Tree Day on Friday 15th October 2021.
As part of our ongoing commitment to help reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and reverse biodiversity loss, we’ve partnered with non-profit initiative JUST ONE Tree. Founded by Amanda Bronkhorst in 2019, the initiative has a simple aim: to plant trees in regions of the world badly affected by deforestation. For every £1 we (or anyone else) donate, 1 tree is planted.

Whilst those involved in the JUST ONE Tree initiative have a very straightforward approach to tackling climate change, their work doesn’t just involve planting new trees. Indeed, tree planting is just 1 of 3 core focuses; the other 2 involve tackling the issues our oceans are facing and bringing environmental education into the classroom—which is where JUST ONE Tree Day comes in.
When is JUST ONE Tree Day?
JUST ONE Tree Day takes place on Friday 15th October 2021 (Friday 1st October 2021 in Scotland).
What is JUST ONE Tree Day?
This year marks the 3rd annual JUST ONE Tree Day, which has already seen over 150,000 children in 420 schools across 8 countries get involved since 2019.
Timed to coincide with the start of the tree-planting season, JUST ONE Tree Day is designed to help teach children what an important role trees play in helping to reverse climate change. With a suggested non-school uniform theme and £1 donation, children across the world can unite to see how individual actions do make a difference. For every £1 raised by pupils, a tree is planted for their future.
JUST ONE Tree offer a range of resource packs for both primary and secondary schools, to help create awareness in a variety of fun, educational ways.
