Posted by Adam Chard in DIY Advice | 2 years ago 3 min read

If there was a quick and easy fix which could save you money on energy bills and household appliances, wouldn’t you read on to find out more…?

By fitting the revolutionary new NoCalc limescale inhibitor to your plumbing system, you’ll enjoy long-lasting protection from limescale and corrosion throughout your whole home, saving you money on your bills and prolonging the life of your household appliances.

With no electricity needed, it is a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly alternative to expensive water softeners.

Protection from hard and soft water issues

If you live in a hard water area (which includes around 60% of the UK) you’ll no doubt know the issues that limescale can cause. Not only does it take the shine away from your surfaces, it can also restrict the performance of your household appliances, from showers to taps and from dishwashers to washing machines, meaning you may have to spend more on replacements, sooner than you’d like.

In fact, did you know that just 1mm of limescale on a heating element within an electrical appliance can mean 8–9% more energy use?

Even if you live in a soft water area (like much of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Lancashire, Cumbria, Devon and Cornwall), you don’t get off scot-free either. Soft water can still cause damage in the long run, as it may still contain calcium and magnesium.

What is NoCalc?

NoCalc is a patented way to protect your whole home from the damaging effects of limescale and corrosion, without harming the natural environment.

In contrast to traditional whole home water softeners, which are often contained in a large white container under the sink or in a cupboard, NoCalc is small and unobtrusive, connecting directly to your water supply.

NoCalc protection for your whole home

How does NoCalc work?

Unlike expensive whole home water softeners, which require electricity to run, NoCalc is a much easier and environmentally-friendly option. Complete with a long-life cartridge which will last for up to 40,000 litres, it uses food grade particles which coat the calcium and magnesium particles in your water. This means they won’t stick and coat surfaces, which could potentially damage appliances, making them less efficient.

How NoCalc limescale inhibitor works

NoCalc even conforms to British Standard BS EN 1212, which means you can be assured of drinking water that is completely safe for consumption. The innovative coating system means that calcium, which is good for our teeth and bones, magnesium and all those essential minerals, remain in your drinking water, unlike some conventional water softeners which remove them. The result is clean, purified water which tastes great. When a new cartridge is required, NoCalc will emit a warning sound, so you know it’s time to make the change.

Why fit NoCalc?

Fitting NoCalc to your home plumbing system really is a no-brainer. However, if you still need a little more convincing, check out these benefits below:

  • Extends the life of your household appliances, including your dishwasher, washing machine, boiler, kettle, coffee machine and more—no need to replace as often
  • Can save you up to 30% on normal soap or cleaning products—skin and hair will feel softer
  • Filtered water improves the taste of your drinking water—no need to buy bottled mineral water or buy water softener jugs
  • Will save money on your energy bills—more efficient appliances
  • Easy-to-fit and low maintenance
  • Needs no electricity—environmentally-friendly and won’t impact on your bills
  • WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved
