To help cut water waste and save money for your business, why not make the switch to these clever RAK Venice waterless urinals?
These days, it seems you can’t switch on a TV or read a news story without seeing something about environmental issues. Whether it’s to do with climate change or living more sustainably, it’s a serious subject, that demands attention.
Saving water is a growing concern for virtually every business looking to boost its green credentials. Whilst there are many ways a business can save water, one area you might not have considered is urinals.
With our new range of waterless urinals from RAK Ceramics, you can save money and help boost the green credentials of your business.
How does it work?
Curious about how a waterless urinal works when compared to a conventional design? You’re certainly not alone…
With no cistern, the waterless urinal works using a replaceable cartridge. A double skirt silicone valve allows the urinal bowl to drain quickly and efficiently, whilst a fragranced ring helps to prevent nasty odours rising from the drain.
The cartridge, typically, lasts between 4 to 6 months, before it requires replacing. This can form part of a regular maintenance regime.
The cartridge comes with a bayonet fitting and is quickly, easily and hygienically removed and replaced using a tool and key, which are provided.
Waterless vs conventional urinals
Save money on water bills
Plenty of water is used when flushing toilets on any commercial premises. In fact, a conventional urinal in a commercial building will use, on average, 87,000 litres of water per year. The waterless urinal will save a staggering amount of water, especially in premises where there is a higher proportion of males compared to females.
Boost your green credentials
Many businesses and departments are measured on their green credentials and, by using waterless urinals, you’ll certainly be boosting these with measurable drops in water usage.
Easier maintenance
With no cistern or flushing mechanism, waterless urinals are incredibly low maintenance. Plus, no water inlet means no risk of flooding or pipes freezing. Ideal for toilets that are used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Quick to install
As a waterless urinal only needs to be plumbed into the sewerage system, it is much quicker and easier to install that its conventional counterpart.
Stylish
Waterless urinals offer a more streamlined and attractive appearance, with no pipes running down the wall or ugly and obtrusive cisterns. The look is sleek and subtle, leaving a positive lasting impression on business visitors and customers alike.
Hygienic
The replaceable cartridge emits a pleasing odour which masks any unpleasant odours, plus performs the vital function of reducing the risk of blockages, which could require repair.
