How to fit a shower tray waste

Fitting your own shower waste in your bathroom, wet room or ensuite may be something you want to try yourself. Here’s how.

First, disassemble the waste into the 4 main parts.

Then remove the protective film of your shower tray around the waste hole.

You should have 2 washers that come with the waste. One to seal from above the shower tray and one below.

Remove both seals and add a thin bead of sealant around here.

Then a second bead around the shower tray waste hole.

Replace the washers and hold the bottle trap underneath the shower tray.

Now screw the upper piece into position and wipe away any excess sealant.

Drop in the inner section and fit the dome.

Finally, fit the fixing pipe to the outlet.
