Getting the balance between a stylish bedroom that is elegant and classy and a cluttered room that doesn’t make you want to relax is not always easy, but follow these 4 simple steps to getting a stylish bedroom, then sit back (or lay down) and enjoy your new room.
1. Mix and match
Having a combination of furniture styles that can co-exist is a great way to make your room a unique and fresh space, whilst giving it an inimitable look. This mix-and-match style can work brilliantly, and will still look good many years down the line.
For example, mixing a tall oak chest with an oak and white gloss 3+3 drawer chest would work perfectly, giving you the ideal amount of storage and a fresh style.
A great furniture base gives you plenty of options for décor. Keeping your furniture the same but updating the colour of your wall, adding wallpaper or even swapping your accessories, are all really simple and inexpensive ways to reinvent your bedroom style.

2. Add some bedside lighting
Nothing quite beats laying in bed with the soft glow of a bedside lamp washing over you - giving off the perfect amount of light for you to finish off your bedtime read without hurting your eyes.
When looking at a bedside table and lamp, make sure the height is just right for your bed frame and you. You want the bottom brim of the lampshade to line up with your chin when you are sat up and leaning against your headboard.

3. Fill your room with neutral and deep moody colours
Colour is the easiest way of adding a sense of warmth and cosiness to any bedroom. A good deep and moody colour on your walls will do the trick. Nothing says warm quite like it! A good tip to bear in mind is to balance the deep colours with a softer neutral like a light grey or pale pink.
You can add colour to your bedroom using the walls, bed covers, accessories and even the curtains. Don’t worry if you aren't brave enough to paint a full wall a deep burgundy, just add flashes of it with cushions and lampshades.
4. Enhance the natural light
Trust me, natural light is your friend at the best of times, but it really comes into its own in your bedroom. Everything looks a little bit better in natural light, which can only be a good thing in my opinion. Some of us are a very lucky and get to play with a lot of light in our bedrooms, but if you only get a little light, make sure you use it!
Using mirrors and mirrored furniture is such a simple way to enhance the light that seeps in through your windows. It helps to reflect the light around the room giving you the feel of better light a bigger room. Allowing you to show off the colour of your walls or the gorgeous bedding you have invested in.
