Who says small spaces can’t be stylish? I certainly don’t! With these 9 accessorising tips for small bathrooms you will have a cohesive, beautiful and, most importantly, practical bathroom in no time at all.
1. Start with scale
Think about adding a range of differently sized bathroom accessories. Using too many small accessories can make your space feel cluttered. I always suggest working to the power of 3 and clustering products together. Keep clusters to 3 products in a range of shapes and sizes.
2. Expand your space
Unless you're thinking of adding an extension, you can't literally expand your bathroom. You can, however, make your space feel bigger by simply adding a mirror. Mirrors are great at reflecting light and making your bathroom appear roomier than it actually is.
3. Sensible storage
Utilising all available space and storage is key for compact bathrooms. Re-arrange your products in drawers and cupboards to conceal bottles and lotions. If you don’t have enough storage, consider shelving and boxes to hide your toiletries away.
4. Get creative
Colour is the perfect way to add character to your bathroom. Just because your bathroom may be compact, doesn’t mean it can’t be vibrant! Adding a touch of colour to your walls distracts from the small size of your space and makes it feel just as stylish as the rest of your home. Where possible, use light colours like we have below.

5. Bright lights
Adding good quality lighting is a must for a small bathroom. Aim to light up every corner of your bathroom by considering spotlighting, perfect for brightening up those potentially dark and dingy corners. Wall lights are great when used either side of a mirror, adding a decorative touch. You could even incorporate strip lighting into your furniture!
6. Rise to the top
Making the most of your wall space really helps when it comes to small bathrooms. Make use of every corner in your bathroom by adding a corner shelving unit or shower caddy. It's an awkward space which would otherwise go to waste—every square inch is vital!
9. Layer up
Layer up your towels and accessories. Using different colours and textures will add the perfect final finish. Not only will it look decorative whilst being practical, it also doesn’t eat into the footprint of your room.
