Best of Share your Style—Spring 2021

Posted by Nicky Kingston in Customers' Rooms | 7 months ago 7 min read

Real bathrooms. Really great style. We reveal our favourite customer bathrooms from the past few months.

If there’s one thing we all love, it’s getting that first lingering look at a new bathroom renovation. With access to the homes of our friends and families restricted in recent times, this has proved difficult. Thankfully, with restrictions lifting further and indoor gatherings allowed, we can all now enjoy those big reveals again.

For those of you who can’t get out and about, or simply don’t know anyone who’ve had their home refurbished, let us bring the beautiful bathrooms to you! We’ve picked out 8 of our favourite customer bathrooms from the past few months, which, we’re sure you’ll agree, look stunning in their own unique ways. So, sit back, get the tea and biscuits out, and enjoy the very best of “Share your Style” from spring 2021.

Eclectic mix

We kick off with a real stunner from @houseonhalllane on Instagram! The thing that really captured our imagination was the eclectic combination of styles—a modern vintage mix—which is a really big trend this year.

The eye is immediately drawn to the bold patterned floor tiles but then the gaze wanders to all the other wonderful elements which complement each other nicely, including the black accents perfectly picked out in the walk in shower, wall tile grout and toilet seat—another key bathroom trend.

In fact, any number of trends have been ticked off in this beautiful bathroom, including the use of wall cladding, hanging plants and minimalist wall art. We also like how the vanity unit brings a refined rustic look, with a luxurious marble countertop.

Two tone

Victoria Plum customer Laura (AKA @mrslilley17 on Instagram) took inspiration from some of our own bathroom ideas to create this bold, colourful design. But that's only one of the reasons why we love it so much!

When we shared this bathroom on Instagram it really did attract so many positive comments, we decided to create an inspirational blog post all about. Some of the comments were around the amazing use of 2 bold colours to create an overarching theme, whereas many others noticed the ceiling mounted shower—another new trend which creates a rainfall effect.

The choice of patterned floor tiles could have been overpowering—but not here. Laura opted for a subtle design which complements rather than dominates the rest of the room.

Looking great in grey

If you're searching grey ideas for bathrooms you could definitely take a leaf out of @home_at_rivermead.x's book! Grey remains the most popular colour palette when it comes to bathrooms and we think this one hits a number of trends.

In this expansive bathroom, classic style combines with a modern colour scheme to great effect. Grey metro tiles, furniture and patterned floor tiles all bring the overall look together well, whilst an ingenious raised plinth brings focus to the luxurious roll top tub.

A fully grey bathroom could feel a little cold and austere, but bamboo accessories and plants help to bring warmth to proceedings. Meanwhile, a wet room style glass panel rather than a standard shower enclosure helps to open up the space, keeping it light and welcoming.

And we certainly haven't forgotten all those finishing touches. Minimalist accessories and prints bring a real balance to this bathroom, while decanted shampoos and conditioners in recesses help to bring a refined finish.

Modern vintage magic

This beautiful bathroom by @housenumberthree is yet another design which hits all the latest trends, using a combination of modern and vintage elements to great effect.

Based around a grey colour scheme, the black framed shower screen is real winner with homeowners in recent years, adding a contemporary touch to what is an otherwise traditional decor. We love the ceiling down shower head, which is unusual but increasing in popularity. And, warmth has been added with a wood effect floor and through the tonal aspect of the bath panel.

Truly marble-ous

Marble truly is marvellous when it comes to bathroom interiors. Yet, you don't have to splash out on the real thing to achieve a luxurious look. Take a look at this stunning space from Victoria Plum customer @renovationbuild.

With floor to ceiling marble-effect tiles, a crisp, easy-to-clean finish has been applied to this beautiful bathroom, whilst the grey and pink accent colours form an on-trend combination. As we've seen in a some of the previous customer bathrooms, the freestanding bath has been raised on a plinth, adding an even more luxurious touch to the overall design.

If there are lots of hard surfaces in your bathroom, you can easily soften the look by introducing more rounded shapes, through your choice of bath and ceramics.

A dreamy getaway

We love the way Victoria Plum customer @emmavincent.interiors has captured the luxurious nature of this beautiful bathroom. You could almost imagine yourself whiling away a few hours in that luxurious tub!

Emma has used the original features of the property to great effect, with the exposed brickwork of the chimney breast providing a stunning, rustic style backdrop. Soft curtains bring a more eclectic feel to this wonderful space.

The darker elements, including the bath surround, flooring, shower enclosure and cladding, hit some of the latest bathroom trends. and, we simply adore the calming finish, with an upcycled vintage cabinet for storage.

Simple, clean and contemporary

Another "grey-t" bathroom by @no.22.renojourney on Instagram. We think the light, bright finish is both welcoming and beautiful.

With calming grey shades and neutral colours combining, this really is a go-to look when it comes to contemporary bathroom spaces. The textured tiles on the walls and flooring add warmth, whilst the small pot plant brings a pleasing organic touch.

Whilst the room has an unusual layout, possibly within the roof space at the top of the house, the space has been used effectively, allowing the natural light to flood in.

Elegant and refined

As we've already seen, Wall cladding is a particularly popular way to bring a refined look to any bathroom, and has been used to great effect by Victoria Plum customer on Instagram

At the heart of the design is this stunning vanity unit, complete with genuine marble countertop and undermount sink…a design classic. We think the combination of materials, including the high-shine chrome, marble and muted blue panels, give an overall impression of luxury. Meanwhile, wall lamps around the mirror are an elegant way to illuminate the space. Some carefully-selected accessories add the perfect finishing touches.
