If you're mad into interior design like me, you'll love looking around other peoples' homes (with their permission, of course!) to get some fresh ideas. That's why we positively encourage all our customers to send us photos of their new bathrooms, which we feature in our monthly Share your Style round-up.
In 2019, we also ran a competition, to see which was our favourite customer bathroom. After a long and meticulous judging process, we finally came up with our winners, which you’ll find featured below.
Contemporary with a traditional twist
In first place was this stunning bathroom design by customer Lydia Coomb (@lydt on Instagram). To all of us here at VictoriaPlum.com, this bathroom stood head and shoulders above the rest, demonstrating how a clean, contemporary style can be achieved with traditional products.
Why do we love this bathroom?
We love the eclectic mix of classic bathroom products, like the low level toilet, washstand and basin, plus the metro tiles, used in a contemporary setting.
It’s an average-sized bathroom, yet space has been used to its maximum potential, with a shower bath which features matching grey panels to complement the toilet seat, plus whites, wooden flooring and gorgeous green painted walls.

This bathroom, by Instagram follower and VictoriaPlum.com customer @its.bright.on.bond.street, demonstrates how a multi-functional downstairs space can be transformed into a designer wet room.
Why do we love this bathroom?
We just love the ingenuity and style of this space! If you hadn’t noticed the 2 fridge freezers (and why would you?), which simply blend into the overall look and feel of the room, you’ll surely have focused on the luxurious freestanding bath, open plan showering space, feature floor and on-trend black taps and shower.
If there wasn’t already plenty to love, the gorgeous green walls and plant life help to bring the outdoors inside—another major trend from the past 12 months.

In third place was this gorgeous bathroom design, sent to us by customer Amy Williams. Featuring a monochrome colour palette, classic bevelled metro tiles and an abundance of greenery.
Why do we love this bathroom?
Well, there’s plenty going on in this bathroom, and Amy manages to balance the needs of a busy household with an eye for detail. The monochrome colour scheme really lifts the look of this bathroom, combined with beautiful tropical houseplants, which are perfect for the bathroom. The waterfall taps add a touch of zen to proceedings, transforming this space into an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
