We’re all looking for a bargain, aren’t we? Especially when it comes to the Black Friday sales, which are fast becoming a shopping tradition here in the UK. However, even if you’re working to a razor-thin budget and don’t want to spend too much, you can still achieve an inspirational yet affordable bathroom that is both high in quality and effortlessly stylish.
Hi, I’m Nicky, the In-house Stylist here at VictoriaPlum.com. One of the big dilemmas which homeowners face, especially in these uncertain times, is how to strike a balance between style and affordability. My top tip is to shop smart.
By scoping out all the latest deals and promotions, like our Black Friday sale, you can pick up some truly stylish products for much less than you’d thought. Of course, you will need to factor in bathroom installation costs which you can find out more about, right here at VictoriaPlum.com.
So, to help you achieve the bathroom you’ve always wanted for less, I’ve picked out a full bathroom suite, with bath, taps, tiles, flooring and accessories, that is big on style and high in quality—all for less than £700!
A minimalist style bathroom for under £700
For many, a minimalist bathroom is the height of on-trend, contemporary style, helping to achieve a clean, uncluttered look. To achieve a minimalist style bathroom for under £700, I’ve made the following assumptions:
- Based on a room size of around 2.4m (L) x 1.8m (W) x 2.4m (H)
- Based on the full price of products (sale and offer prices could potentially take the total cost even lower!)
- Additional items required for installation not included in the total cost, e.g. waste pipes, tools, etc (your plumber or installer should be able to provide these)
- Based on flooring the bathroom but not under the bath
- Based on tiling the whole room half the way up the wall with paint above
- Bath measures 1500mm x 700mm
So, what did I pick?
Suite and taps
- Clarity bathroom suite with straight bath—£189
- Orchard Derwent basin and bath shower mixer tap pack—£149.98

Walls and floors
- Malmo LVT Skara embossed stick down flooring—£99 (1 box—enough to cover 3.37m²)
- Metro subway white bevelled gloss wall tiles—£142.89 (11 boxes)

TOTAL COST = £687.80

Stylish contemporary ensuite for under £1,400
Contemporary bathrooms are far and away the most popular choice in the UK today, with most homeowners looking to create a fresh, modern look that follows the latest trends. If you’re lucky enough to have your own ensuite, you’ll want this to look as stylish as possible, without spending a king’s ransom.
To achieve this, we’ve made the same assumptions as the previous bathroom, however, instead of a bath, we’ve added a shower, door and tray, which will fit with a recessed ensuite. If there is no recess within your ensuite, simply swap out for a full shower enclosure.
