Easy Switches: 1 bathroom, 3 looks

If you don’t have the biggest of budgets to spend, you can still transform your bathroom space with accessories. Don’t believe us? As part of your celebration of The Great British Bathroom, we’ll demonstrate how 1 bathroom can be given 3 completely different looks.

In these uncertain times, it’s hardly surprising that many of us are keeping a firm grip on the old purse strings. As long as you’re happy with the main elements, like your bath, toilet, and basin, you could simply refresh your bathroom space with a new colour scheme, walls, floors and accessories. This will cost much less than a new suite, plus it’s something you can easily do yourself, without having to call in the professionals.

To show you just how easy it is to do, we’ve come up with 3 completely different looks for 1 average-sized UK bathroom.

Look 1—Fresh for summer

Our first look is all about bringing a ray of sunshine into your bathroom, not just during the summer but all year round.

Fresh for summer bathroom

With a subtle yellow painted wall and light blue shower wall panels, we’ve created a bathroom that is fresh and cheerful. Plus, thanks to the shell effect motif, you could develop the theme further and create a coastal style bathroom.

The light wood effect flooring is actually made from laminate, which is easy to fit and simple to clean. We’ve complemented the look with a matching selection of light blue accessories, a bamboo duck board and a large space-enhancing mirror. Everything is tied together with matching blue towels.

Look 2—Luxury for less

We really love this second look, not least for its sophisticated style. With stone effect wall panels used liberally around the room, including behind the toilet and basin, it adds a real luxurious edge and an almost seamless finish.

The rhubarb red paint, which is an on-trend bathroom colour, produces a warm and welcoming feel and has been mirrored in the choice of towel and bath mat. Meanwhile, to add sparkle to this design, we’ve added a luxury mirror with a frame, plus hammered metal accessories, which reflect light to great effect. To complete the look, white tile effect vinyl flooring is quick and easy to fit.

Look 3—Contemporary edge

Even in an average-sized bathroom, you can recreate that spa-like feel with the right choice of colours, patterns and accessories.

Contemporary edge bathroom

Our third bathroom look is highly contemporary in style, featuring a simple grey colour palette. The herringbone pattern shower wall panels offer on-trend design without having to spend additional time and money on tiles and the wood effect floor adds a touch of warmth to proceedings.

We’ve broken up the flat surfaces with texture, using the bath mat and towels, whilst the wall mounted accessories bring a classic touch. Minimalist in its approach, this relaxed and calming environment is perfect for unwinding after a long, hard day.
