Struggling to decide upon your bathroom colour scheme? Our Stylist Nicky will take you through her top 6 bathroom colour ideas.
Spring is a time of year which is full of optimism. As we creep away from dark and wintery colours, we see brighter tones and more creativity in our colour palette. So, without further ado, here are my top bathroom colour ideas for the year ahead.
Raspberry
Raspberry is fun and energetic with lots of life. It suggests ambition and is often known to enhance feelings of encouragement and strength. With its bright floral hue, it suits springtime perfectly. I’d suggest using this colour sparingly, in towels and accessories, rather than a full wall, which may seem a little too bold.
Marigold
Yellow has been gaining popularity over the last few years, with many using it as their go-to colour in fashion and interiors. This spring, Marigold has emerged as the contemporary take on classic yellow. It’s warm, bold, inviting and known to arouse feelings of happiness, satisfaction and relaxation. Perfect for a springtime shower room or ensuite.
Early Spring Green
Green has started to emerge as a genuine “go to” colour for interior designers. From dark and mystical forest green in the winter, to light and optimistic lime or pistachio greens during the summer. For spring 2019, we’ve selected Early Spring Green; a light hue with mid tones, perfect for a cloakroom bathroom or a quick spring/summer revamp.
Replicating nature and enhancing mindfulness, this is a brilliant multifunctional colour. Early Spring Green will help to enhance feelings of independence and change. Paired with earthy tones, it can create a genuine sense of calm and tranquillity.
Dusky Pink
As you’re probably already aware, pink came from absolutely nowhere to become a firm favourite from fashion to interiors… and it’s certainly not ready to quit any time soon. Dusty pink is the on-trend colour for spring. It’s clean, light and airy, and when paired with marble or glossy tiles, can make a very classy statement. Pink is known to encourage insightful thoughts, self-knowledge and willpower—perfect for this optimistic time of year.
Amethyst
Amethyst is quite a diverse colour and is similar to Ultra-Violet, Pantone’s recent Colour of the Year. We’ve revamped this colour for spring, lightening it and brightening it significantly. It provides a sense of elegance, whilst conveying a touch of myth and mystery. This colour is also known to impart a sense of importance, wisdom and virtue. I’d suggest using it sparingly as the accent colour to your bathroom.
Mink
Mink is our final colour trend for spring. It’s a slightly safer option, despite having just as much character as the rest. It’s warm and inviting, neutral and super easy to incorporate into a colour scheme. Natural, organic colours like this make us feel fulfilled, providing a sense of belonging and reassurance. Combine with a range of shades or tones for a truly mindful bathroom.
