Best of Share your Style—Summer 2021

Posted by Adam Chard in Customers' rooms | 2 years ago 6 min read

We love it when you “Share your Style” with us. Check out our favourite customer bathrooms from the past few months.

If you’re searching for bathroom inspiration, there really is nothing better than seeing real life bathrooms in real life homes. And, luckily for us, our customers have a real eye for style!

This summer, you’ve been exceptionally busy, planning, designing and (in some cases) fitting beautiful bathrooms, full of lovely Victoria Plum products. And even if you’re still in the planning stage yourself, you’ll find plenty of fresh ideas in this blog post.

So, sit back, relax and pour yourself a long cool drink, as we show you 5 of our favourite customer bathrooms from summer 2021.

Timeless tradition

We begin with a vintage-inspired beauty from @thewhythouse2020, featuring a classic slipper bath and matching suite.

One of the first things we absolutely adore about this bathroom is the sense of calm and relaxation (the cute sign on the cistern is very accurate!). The grey and white colour scheme is very much on-trend, whilst the patterned floor tiles aren’t too overbearing.

Whilst the bathroom suite provides a consistent and cohesive look, it’s all the finishing touches which really add character to the overall scene. Tropical bathrooms are a big trend this year, and in this bathroom you certainly don’t have to look far for a pot plant or two! The hanging planters in front of the large window make a really creative feature, along with other scattered pots and trailing plants, making this a green and pleasant space. Why not find out how to make a hanging planter yourself?

Baby blue bathing

Soft neutral colours are a big bathroom trend this year, and Victoria Plum customer @emilyrachelshouse has used this to great effect to create a wonderfully relaxed setting, complete with classic roll top bath.

Whilst the colour scheme and open window make this space feel very light and bright, we also appreciate all the little touches too. Check out the gorgeous floral prints on the wall, plus the ladder shelving which is great for organising your essentials.

The choice of gloss marble effect floor tiles really raises the profile of this stunning space, adding a more luxurious element. Why not find out how to use marble in your bathroom?

Industrial chic

The industrial look is still very much in favour and we love what Victoria Plum customer @thecottageno4 has done with their brand-new bathroom. The exposed brick wall provides the perfect backdrop to this contemporary look, complemented by on-trend black accents picked out in the heated towel rail and taps.

We love all the personal touches, including a homemade countertop basin shelf with tongue and groove detailing, plus a matching door. Natural elements, like the hanging planter and wicker chest, bring a softer, more organic feel to proceedings. Key products:

Clean and simple

Sometimes, great style can be achieved by keeping things simple. Take this gorgeous bathroom by Victoria Plum customer @myconvertedcottage with its soft neutral colour scheme (a big trend!), clean white wall tiles and grey flooring.

This elegant space is adorned by a traditional bathroom suite, including a steel bath, complete with tongue and groove panels. The Victorian style radiator complements the overall design of the room, with a handy rail for hanging towels. The handful of accessories are subtle, quietly adding character to this paired back bathroom.

#PlantLife

With so many houseplants which thrive in bathrooms, it’s hardly surprising we so many bathrooms that wouldn’t be out of place in a nature documentary! One which particularly caught our eye was this organic oasis by @rees_renovation_of_no.43 on Instagram.

We love the cascade of different pot plants along the top of the tiling, down to the floor. The washstand, with its oak effect top and spa-style countertop basin, complement the look perfectly.

Generic metro tiles are no more! We’re seeing more and more homeowners get adventurous, using metro tiles in creative ways. We’re all for these thin, flat metro tiles, arranged vertically, in subtle pastel colours.

Exceptionally eclectic

Eclectic bathrooms, featuring a mix of styles, are becoming ever-more popular, and we love how Victoria Plum customer @tylacoch.home has combined modern ceramics with classic wood clad walls.

These light, bright interiors look the perfect place to while away a few hours, complete with a simple contemporary style freestanding bath. The white furniture and wood effect touches (in the form of the worktop, baskets and bath accessories) contrast wonderfully, while the double basins allow couples to both get ready in the morning.

A classic Victorian-inspired feature floor brings a more vintage touch to this setting, whilst we simply adore the addition of plants and atmospheric wall prints.
